Gas Prices

Gas Prices are way too high and I am sure everyone knows that. The state/government is bringing gas prices up way too high. In 1960, gas/fuel prices soared, and both Democrats and Republicans embraced the government intervention in the energy markets. “www.Highgasprices.com”. Perhaps the government needs to help out again. Gas is taking the prices up to a whole new level, for example, instead of $2 the gas is $4. If you ask me, I think it is because the state just wants all of our money. They know we are going to need gas some time or later, and to get it they raise the prices on gas. I have noticed a pattern and I don’t know if other people have, but every time a holiday comes up, the price of gas goes up. The only reason I believe they are doing this is because they know a bunch of families like to go to other states or to far away parks. I think the government should step in and lower the price of gas.
Gas stations have taken it so far that you now have to pay .75 or .50 cents just for air; what ever happen to .25 cents, or to it being free? I have personally seen Gas stations charging this amount for air, which is something that used to be, and should remain, free. Some people have to put $30 or $70 dollars in their truck and $25 to $50 in their car, which is ridiculous. The high prices are making people not want to drive on the road anymore.
It is not fair to the residents of Michigan to have to pay the amount of money on gas that they do. The government needs to lower gas prices. I remember when I was younger, gas was $1 and some cents almost $2. That was when everyone was happy about gas and had no complaints. I use to look up at the sign and it used to say regular $1.89 then the next one use to say $1.99 and then the last one use to say $2.09.
In conclusion, the prices of gas are way too high and they need to be brought down. I hope prices go down when it is time for me to start driving; I know they’re not so I am not even going to have my hopes up so soon.
